This was a neglected area of a much larger garden. After suggesting the removal of some huge conifers we went in after the tree surgeons had created a new light space. We suggested a relaxed but formal planting scheme that would tie in with the already old established garden. Before any planting was even considered we had to prep the ground first. Along with the customers, we decided on a blue, pink and white palette with the use of some evergreens for structure. The path was created with some old stones from another part of the garden which added to the continuity and new gravel which is also in other parts of the garden. The space was only planted in Nov 20, so it’ll be nice to see it in full bloom over the coming months! The customers now have a pretty outlook from their kitchen window rather than a dark area swamped by huge trees.
